Eyelash extensions are made of silk, synthetic fibers, mink or faux mink (we only use cruelty free lashes here!). Lash extensions are not like strip lashes, clusters or flares, they are semi-permanent and a applied using a medical grade adhesive. They are customized specifically to your eye shape by selecting the desired thickness, length, and curl that best suits your personal preference. Extensions are meant to enhance the natural lash line without causing any pain, discomfort and will not cause any lash loss when applied properly.

Lash extensions require touch ups every 2-4 weeks to maintain their fullness. The longevity of your extensions will vary based upon your natural lash growth cycle; if your hair grows fast, then so will your extensions, and fills will be needed more often. If you follow our instructions for caring for your lash extensions, your lashes will remain fuller longer. The average human eye sheds 5-7 natural eyelashes per day; this is 70-90 natural lashes within 2 weeks (half your natural eyelashes). This is why we recommend fills every 2 to 4 weeks.

An individual with any allergy to adhesives or cyanoacrylates. Any individual who has undergone chemotherapy over the last six months, or an individual who does not have natural eyelashes may not have eyelash extensions applied. Anyone who suffers from any eye infection, alopecia or degenerative disease of the eye, lash extensions are not recommended.
*Lash lifts are a great alternative to lash extensions! -
This lash lift treatment curls your natural lashes and can last approximately 6-8 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle, lifestyle and aftercare.
The best way to enhance and compliment this procedure is to have your eyelashes tinted at the same time, creating more depth of color. -
Avoid rubbing your eyes.
Keep your lashes brushed up (rubbing or brushing lashes in a downward motion can weaken the curl within the first 24hrs).
Remove eye makeup gently with non-oily remover.
After 24hrs live life as normal! Pretend like it never happened! -
The lash extension application can take anywhere from 2-3 hours, depending on your natural lashes. The normal human eye has 150-200 lashes per eye. The more lashes that you have, the more extensions I can apply! This is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration. Therefore, it is important not to rush the process so that you can leave with a perfect set of lashes! You will be relaxing with your eyes closed, and you will feel no pain as this is a non-invasive service. Clients are typically so relaxed that they almost always fall asleep!
-
Yes. Your extensions can be removed at any time. Removal takes about 20 minutes using an acetone free adhesive remover. Your natural lashes will not be damaged in the process.
-
Yes, but most clients don't even feel the need to wear eye makeup. Just wake up and go! No more running, streaking, smudging, or flaking mascara. You can still use eyeliner and eye shadows as usual. Avoid using waterproof or liquid products, as they can break down the adhesive. Mascara is also NOT recommended, as it will cause premature shedding and clump up the extensions. TheLashChick® water-based makeup remover helps to remove irritating debris and keeps your lash line clean and is perfectly safe for extensions.
-
Extensions make it so you don’t have to! If you do choose to wear mascara, the longevity of your extensions will be reduced dramatically and you will need to come in more often for your fill appointments. You can wear mascara on the bottom lashes, however, you must remove all your eye makeup with a water-based cleanser before you go to sleep or your makeup will goop up the base of your extensions.
-
When extensions shed you should see your natural lash attached (approx. 0.5-1mm from the base). This is part of the natural shedding process and is completely normal. This does not mean the extensions are making your natural lashes fallout. This can be a common misconception, but this is exactly what you should see. If you are only seeing the extension (with no natural lash attached) you may be having something that is causing retention issues and you should contact your lash artist.
-
This is the best thing about eyelash extensions, you can customize the curl, thickness, length and style to your liking! Should you get Classic or Volume? Or maybe you want a little of both? Or maybe you have no idea??! Don’t be afraid to talk to your lash tech about alternative styles and looks based on your eye shape and desired look.
*please note, there are limitations of eyelash extension sizes depending on the length and thickness of your natural lashes. keeping your lashes strong and healthy is our number one priority.
-
Even though your lash extensions are waterproof, it is recommended to avoid water from beating down on your lash extensions, as anything constant and repetitive tension can cause your lash extensions to come off prematurely.
